Pay/Appeal Parking Citation

Citations must be paid or contested within 21 days of citation date or 14 days of late notice. Failure to comply will result in penalty fees and/or DMV registration hold.

Several payment options are available:

  • Online: Go to pticket.com/picorivera and follow the detailed instructions.

    • Online payments require a valid email address.
  • Telephone: Call (800)553-4412 and follow the automated prompts.
  • Mail: Using the pre-addressed envelope included with the citation, mail your Check or Money Order payable to the City of Pico Rivera. The mailing address is also listed on the back of the citation. Please be sure to write the citation number on your check or money order. DO NOT send cash.

To protest a citation (Except registration, equipment or disabled placard violations):

  • Online: Go to pticket.com/picorivera and follow the detailed instructions.

  • Mail: Please be sure your protest letter is mailed and postmarked within 21 calendar days of the citation date or within 14 days of the late notice. Protest postmarked beyond these dates will NOT be accepted and will result in the loss of your appeal rights.
    • DO NOT SEND PAYMENT with your protest. You will not be held liable for the payment until a decision is determined regarding your protest.
    • ALL CORRESPONDENCE MUST BE MAILED TO:

    • Allow 4-6 weeks to receive a decision regarding your protest. Please include your mailing address on all correspondence. If your protest is “Upheld” you will have 21 days from the notice date to continue the protest procedure or pay the fine amount due. Follow directions included within the notice you received.
  • Violation involving equipment (CVC 5200), i.e., missing or damaged license plates, registration tabs (CVC 5204(a)), or disabled placard (CVC 22507.8(a)) are correctable violations for fine reduction.
  • Violations eligible for a fine reduction MUST be corrected and paid within 21 days of citation date or 14 days of late notice. Failure to comply will be result in penalty fees and/or DMV registration hold. Please visit the City of Pico Rivera’s Public Safety office to correct these violations located in City Hall at 6615 Passons Blvd or call (562) 801-4413.
