Community Gardens

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Pico Rivera Community Gardens was established to promote healthy living and provide residents who do not have garden space with the opportunity to grow produce for personal use. The Community Gardens is comprised of 8.5' x 22' plots and 18’ x 22’ plots rented annually and is available for use by residents and non- residents. 

ALERT: The City of Pico Rivera is currently seeking a volunteer to help in the upkeep of weeds and other functions in the Community Gardens.

April - October   
Monday - Sunday  6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

November - March
Monday - Sunday  6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

PLOT FEES
User fees are based on defraying the cost of water, maintenance and administration of the Community Garden. The Gardener shall pay in advance, a non-refundable fee. Fees are divided on a resident and non-resident fee and with and adult and senior fee:

8.5' x 22'

Adult (18 - 59yrs) Resident $ 75.00 Non-Resident $ 85.00
Senior (Age 60 +) Resident $50.00 Non-Resident $85.00

18' x 22'

Adult (18 - 59yrs) Resident $ 85.00 Non-Resident $ 95.00
Senior (Age 60 +) Resident  $60.00 Non-Resident $ 95.00

PICO RIVERA COMMUNITY GARDENS EVENTS
There is excitement in the air at the Pico Rivera Community Gardens, which hosts a variety of classes, educational workshops, activities and its annual open house. See below for information about the next event. There’s always something exciting happening at the Pico Rivera Community Gardens.


PLOT SUPERVISION
Lupe Aguilar, Recreation Supervisor is responsible for direct management of the Community Gardens. Recreation staff randomly stops by at different times though the day to supervise the Community Gardens.
