REACH - RECREATION & EDUCATION ACCELERATING CHILDREN'S HOPES
REACH is a free after-school program operated by the Department of Parks and Recreation in collaboration with the El Rancho Unified School District (ERUSD). The program was launched in September 1999 and is funded by the After-School Education and Safety Program (ASES).
REACH is a demonstration of the commitment and investment the City has made to increase the quality of life of its youth. REACH provides quality after school care, a safe environment, homework assistance, literacy development, enriching activities and snack for students in grades TK-5th that attend the El Rancho Unified School District. The following elementary school sites offer the after-school program: Birney, Durfee, Magee, North Ranchito, Rio Vista, Rivera, South Ranchito, and Valencia. REACH operates concurrent to the school year and students must attend REACH each day they attend school. A once a year, $40 registration fee per student is due upon enrollment in the program.
