CITY OF PICO RIVERA RESULTS OF THE MANDATED WATER QUALITY TESTING FOR PFOS AND PFOA - 2019

The City recently conducted its mandatory monitoring requirement per new State guidelines. Based on the most recent results, it was determined that the Notification Level for perfluorooctaniesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanioic acid (PFOA) in the Pico Rivera Water Authority’s (PRWA) groundwater served to customers had been exceeded but was below the Response Level.

Below are the respective statements from the Pico Rivera Water Authority (including an FAQ from the Pico Rivera Water Authority), and the Pico Water District regarding the levels of PFOS and PFOA found in water provided for residents in the City of Pico Rivera.
