Volunteers will be knocking on doors throughout the community on Saturday, October 20 as part of the 16th Annual Trick or Treat for Hunger.
Volunteers from the Pico Rivera Christmas Baskets Committee will be going door-to-door collecting non-perishable goods, unopened toys and can openers. The collected items will be used to create Christmas Baskets to be distributed to Pico Rivera families in need this upcoming holiday season.
Suggested food items include cereal, peanut butter, pasta and any canned food. Items can be placed in a bag or box and left by your front door no later than 8:30 a.m. on October 22nd to ensure pick up. Residents may also drop off food items at Smith Park between 9:00 a.m. to noon.
