The City of Pico Rivera is hosting its annual Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 5from 10:00 a.m. to2:00 p.m. The event is being held at the newly opened Pico Rivera Library located at 9001 Mines Avenue.
Come and learn how you can do your part to help Pico Rivera become a more sustainable city. There will be a variety of fun, eco-friendly activities, contests and presentations throughout the day. Recycle your plastic grocery bags and receive a chance to win raffle prizes.
In collaboration with this event, the City will also be hosting a Disaster Preparedness and Safety Fair. The San Andreas Fault runs along the western edge of California, making cities like ours susceptible to large earthquakes. Also, Santa Ana winds increase the danger from wildfires during the latter half of each year. Join local first responder organizations in learning how to be prepared for these and other natural disasters.
