City to Host Scotts Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

Baseball scouts will want to stop by Rivera Park on Sunday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. as young Major League hopefuls showcase their skills during the annual Scotts Pitch, Hit & Run competition.

Sponsored by Scotts & Major League Baseball, the event is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14 as of July 17, 2016. Players will compete in four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12 and 13/14 years old. There is no cost to participate.

The top finisher in each division will have a chance to advance toward the ultimate goal of competing in the National Finals at the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Diego, California.
