Pico Rivera Youth Center Celebrates 10 Years

The Pico Rivera Youth Center will be celebrating its 10 year anniversary on Saturday, September 24 with a special celebration from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Youth Center was originally built in the 1950’s and was formerly the Mexican-American Senior Center. In 2006, the building was re-dedicated as the Pico Rivera Youth Center and has been home to the Pico Rivera Teen Club ever since.

The Youth Center building includes a recently refurbished kitchen, and also offers recreational activities such as basketball, billiards, foosball, and video games. The center also offers internet access for teens for homework assignments, and sponsors dances, movie nights, volunteer opportunities, and field trips specifically for teens. The Teen Club, which is free to join, meets at the Center every Monday at 5:00 p.m.

The Youth Center celebration will offer food, an arts & crafts table, a live D.J., game booths, inflatables, an art exhibit inside the Youth Center, and a video gaming truck.

Young teens between the ages of 10 to 18 are all welcome to join in on the fun and admission is FREE.

The Pico Rivera Youth Center is located at 4632 Orange Street.
