As we highlighted last month, Village Walk (located at the southwest corner of Paramount and Whittier Boulevard) will soon boast of new restaurants along with general façade and parking improvements. Soon, Village Walk will welcome another new dining establishment that is set to open its doors by March 2019 - Don Chente Bar and Grill.
Don Chente Bar and Grill will occupy a 5,700 square-foot retail space next to the Cinepolis theater. The attraction of this new sit-down restaurant and bar—along with the influx of new tenants who will soon join the center—is expected to help solidify Village Walk as an important economic draw for the City’s residents and neighboring communities. The arrival of Don Chente Bar and Grill to the City of Pico Rivera will also bring alongside it the creation of fulltime, seasonal, and parttime jobs while helping stimulate economic growth in the City.
Don Chente Bar and Grill’s inspired food and drink menu captures the vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients from Mexico, and coupled with the restaurant’s upscale concept, will deliver an enjoyable dining experience. It is expected to bring lunchtime and mid-week customers while successfully bolstering Village Walk’s weekend activity.
The restaurant is operated by the Ortiz Family. Since 1983, the family has operated over 25 successful restaurants throughout Southern California including Don Chente Bar and Grill and El Pescador. Soon, residents will have a new place to dine and unwind, or pair with a movie night out on the town - look out for it in March 2019.
