Pico Rivera Roads Under Construction

The City of Pico Rivera is about to embark on several road improvement projects throughout the City that will benefit drivers along major corridors as well as residential streets.  The attached map will highlight the major projects throughout the City, when they will start, and when they will approximately end.  Drivers are advised to expect delays around construction zones and to seek alternate routes during peak periods. 

Project dates are subject to change. The City will provide updates on construction projects via the City's website, social media channels, and the Profile.

GATEWAY COG - HOT SPOTS INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The Gateway Council of Government - Hot Spots Intersection Improvements Project at Rosemead/Whittier and Rosemead/Washington will begin construction on Wednesday, July 24th. 

The project at the intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Whittier Boulevard includes a construction of an additional left-turn lane in the southbound direction, reconstruction of existing medians to accommodate additional travel lanes, pavement rehabilitation along Whittier Boulevard from Acacia Avenue to San Gabriel Place, construction of new bus pads and bus shelters and modifications to the existing traffic signal.

The work at the intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Washington Boulevard consists of traffic signal modifications and striping modifications.

The work on these intersections is anticipated to be complated by November 2019.  Expect delays around these intersections.  Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.

ACE DURFEE AVENUE GRADE SEPARATION

Construction along Durfee Avenue from Whittier Boulevard to just north of the railroad tracks.  Utility companies continue their underground utility relocation work.  Expect delays along Durfee Avenue Northbound and Southbound.  Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
