Memorial Day Ceremony Planned

The City of Pico Rivera will honor fallen members of our nation’s military forces at the annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Mines Avenue Veterans Monument.  

The day will start off with a complimentary breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.  Breakfast will be provided to all Veterans, family, friends, and guests of all ages.  During the Ceremony, the new Memorial Plaza will be unveiled. The Memorial Plaza will be dedicated to residents of Pico Rivera who served in the United States Armed Forces and paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms that we enjoy today. All guests in attendance will receive a special pin commemorating the unveiling of the Memorial Plaza.

For those unable to attend the event, the ceremony will be broadcasted live on the City’s Facebook page and recorded for CTV3 which will air the Ceremony through the month of June.  The Ceremony will also be available on the City’s Video On Demand service on the City’s website.
