REACH is an after school program provided to expand the learning that occurred from the regular school day. We provide homework/class work assistance, provide tutoring, engage students through disguised learning in language arts, mathematics, STEM, and the arts. We will engage students in physical activity as well as science/art activities.

REACH is a demonstration of the commitment and investment the City has made to increase the quality of life of its youth. REACH is open to students in grades TK-5th that attend the El Rancho Unified School District. The following elementary school sites offer the after-school program: Birney, Durfee, Magee, North Ranchito, Rio Vista, Rivera, South Ranchito, and Valencia. REACH operates concurrent to the school year and students must attend REACH each day they attend school.

COVID-19 Accommodations

Although our REACH Staff are eager to return and start in person, the REACH Program is mirroring the El Rancho Unified School District and will be going virtual.  As soon as County Health Officials deem it safe to return, and ERUSD allows students to return to their respective schools, the REACH Program will continue at the School Sites.

Students who are enrolled in the REACH Program will be provided with FREE Supplies and Materials.

Virtual Programming

We will be scheduling LIVE Streamed tutoring opportunities.  Our REACH Staff will provide engaging activities both live streamed and pre-recorded.  In addition to the live streaming, REACH Staff will be able to provide Virtual Homework and Tutoring Support.

REACH Students will also have access to REACH Videos covering several topics including:

  • Culinary
  • Visual and Performing Arts
  • Literacy
  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Mathematics
