In response to the latest update from the State Governor's Office, the City Council out of the abundance of caution and in the best interests of the community, has decided to close City Hall and our Park Community Centers to the public.
Effective immediately, all Parks and Recreation classes have been cancelled and or postponed until further notice. City parks, skate park and golf course will remain accessible to the public and their maintenance and upkeep will continue. Our Senior Center will be open Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 for the SASSFA Lunch program ONLY from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Senior Center Caseworker will continue on an appointment only basis over the phone, and AARP Tax Services will be suspended.
All services requiring in person visits or public service counter assistance- including licensing and building permits- will be suspended or made available via phone, online or through email, while building inspection services will continue.
The Pico Rivera City Council will hold an Emergency City Council Meeting tomorrow, March 16, at 3:30 p.m. to discuss further actions being taken by the City during this time. The meeting will be available for viewing online via the City's website and on CTV 3 for subscribers of Spectrum Cable.
As you can imagine, this is an unprecedented situation that we all are going through and we will do our best to continue to provide essential City services to our residents. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we as a community work together to ensure our health and safety.
