Parks and Recreation continues to offer virtual programs that inspire our young residents’ creativity while in-person programming is still on hold.

During the month of December, two special Virtual Art Classes will be held for young artists ages 5-13.

Virtual Art Fun for Kids held on Friday afternoons will provide participants an opportunity to draw a new art project each week. Students learn how to break down drawings in small steps that come together to create a cool drawing. As each week progresses, so does the confidence in drawing abilities. This class will run from December 10 through December 17 and is available in three separate age levels: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-13. The fee is $14 for the December session.

On Wednesday afternoons, Virtual Watercolors, Chalk, and Oil Pastels will give participants a small art lesson in different artists while incorporating their styles into unique student art projects using watercolor paint, chalk, and oil pastels. This class will run from December 8 through December 29 in two separate age categories: 7-9, and 10-13. The fee for the December session is $32.

Both classes are taught by art instructor Miss Ronda. Zoom ID information will be provided via email with 48 hours of registration.
