The City of Pico Rivera is seeking volunteers to help plant trees in the community for the City’s Arbor Day Tree Planting event on Saturday, March 12, from 8:00 a.m. to noon at Pio Pico Park, 4211 Columbia Street.

Arbor Day is celebrated nationwide with community volunteers planting trees, enhancing their communities. Trees offer several benefits to local communities including natural shade, cleaner air, and energy savings.

Make a difference in the community, sign up to volunteer at volunteermatch.org. Once registered, participants will be asked to bring their own labeled garden tools and gloves to the event.

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or Proof of Negative Test within 72 hours of event is required. Funding for this project is provided by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as part of the California Climate Investment Program.
