Earlier this month, staff from our City Clerk’s Office joined City Clerks from around the nation to celebrate Municipal Clerks Week. The International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) has sponsored Municipal Clerks Week since 1969. In 1984 and in 1994, Presidents Ronald Regan and Bill Clinton, respectively, signed a Proclamation officially declaring Municipal Clerks Week the first full week of May and recognizing the essential role municipal clerk’s play in local government. In the City of Pico Rivera, the City Clerk’s Office provides a variety of services including, voter registration, elections, commissions, and agendas.
