The City’s Parks and Recreation Department will host a Day of the Dead Celebration at Pico Park on Saturday, October 19!
Enjoy a festive afternoon of Sugar Skull decorating, face painting, crafts, photo ops, traditional refreshments, and MORE! This event is open for all ages for a fee of $35
****COMMUNITY ALTAR****
We invite the community to celebrate the memories of family and loved ones that have passed at the Pico Park Altar. The Pico Park Altar will be on display from Monday, October 14 through Monday, November 4. See flyer for additional details.

The City, in collaboration with NASA Services and Whittier Fertilizer Co., will be distributing FREE garden mulch on Saturday, October 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Whittier Fertilizer Company, 9441 Kruse Road.
Residents can receive one 33-gallon container of mulch free of charge. Additional containers can be filled for $1 each. Residents must bring their own containers, as none will be available at the site.
The mulch distribution is part of the City’s green waste recycling program.

Residential homeowners and solar panel installation contractors in Pico Rivera are now able to apply for permits online with the help of SolarAPP+, a web-based portal for residential solar energy system installations, developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to automate project plan reviews, receive automated permit, pay fees online, and schedule inspections.
