Close to 10,000 attendees from the City and surrounding communities enjoyed the two-day Fiestas Patrias Festival that celebrated Mexican Independence Day. The two-day event featured specialty food vendors, artisans, and musical groups, including Mariachi Los Camperos, Banda Electrizante, Banda La Maravillosa, Nueva Ola, and Angie NG, amongst other performances. Pico Rivera singer Rossy Diaz also made an appearance during the two-day festival. The Fiestas Patrias Festival was hosted by the Asociación de Jalicienses Unidos en Acción (AJUA).
