Last month, two residents became centenarians. Not only that, but both were also born on April 15, 1925!

Theodore “Ted” Gonzales is a
World War II veteran, having served
in the United States Army and was
part of the 504th Parachute Infantry
Regiment, 82nd Airborne. For his
birthday, friends and family gathered
at VFW Post 7734 to help him
celebrate 100 years.

100 Ted
100 Augusto

Augusto Alvarez is a longtime
resident of the City. Having
immigrated from Guatemala, he and
his family lived in Hollywood where
he worked at a steel manufacturer
repairing car bumpers. In the early
1990’s, he moved his family to the
City where they have lived ever
since. Celebrating with him last
month were his friends and family
which included his four children,
four grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren.

Happy 100th gentlemen. Cheers to many more!
