“Sort It Right, Keep Our City Bright!” Youth Art Competition

Kick off the school year with a chance to make your mark in Pico Rivera. The City of Pico Rivera is excited to announce the upcoming 2025 “Sort it Right, Keep Our City Bright!” Youth Design-a-Sign Art Competition, a fun and meaningful opportunity for students to turn their creativity into climate action.

Students from El Rancho Unified School District and other eligible schools are invited to submit original artwork that encourages composting and reducing food waste. Winning designs will be featured on Bigbelly bins at Smith Park and even on a NASA waste truck.

The competition will launch in mid-August and run until October 2 at 5:00 p.m. Winners will be selected by mid-October and acknowledged at the end of the month.
