Critical, updated information about emergencies and disasters that strike Southern California is available through ALERT LA County, the County’s mass notification system. The system delivers recorded phone messages via mass telephone calls and sends text messages or emails to residents and businesses during emergencies or disasters.

All land-line phone numbers, both listed and unlisted, are automatically included in the system. However, if you have a cellular phone, Voice over IP (VoIP) phone number or an email address, you can register that information with ALERT LA County and receive the same critical information via those devices during a major emergency or disaster. You can also download the ALERT LA County app available in the Google App Store or Apple Store.

To register or for more information, visit the ALERT LA County website at alert.lacounty.gov.
