With the Vietnam Wall being inscribed with over 58,000 names of fallen soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice, amongst those are 27 from the City of Pico Rivera. Many of them graduated from El Rancho High School between 1962 and 1969. Their names are forever memorialized through various tributes, both with the City and El Rancho High School. Today, there are very few who knew all these brave young men. Let us now take a moment to remember these fallen soldiers who never returned to the place they called home.
Those who have a family member on the wall are invited to carry their family member’s
panel and put it in place on The Wall. If an immediate family member is interested in
participating in our ceremonies and would like to register to receive certificates and pins
from the Department of Defense, please submit the following information to Kristin Baca
at kbaca@pico-rivera.org no later than March 8, 2024.
• Name, rank, date of death, and branch of Service of deceased military member
• Relationship of the family member to the military member (e.g. widow, parent, child, etc)
Please note that your loved one is only on The Wall if they died in Vietnam or
later died of wounds inflicted in Vietnam service.
