The City of Pico Rivera is looking for volunteers to participate in a one-night census of homeless persons within the community. The effort is part of the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority’s 2024 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count.

The Homeless Count, which involves a visual count of all Pico Rivera’s unsheltered individuals, will occur on Wednesday, January 24. On that night, volunteers will be assigned to canvass a section of the city to count the number of homeless persons they see.

The data collected will be used to provide stakeholders with a better understanding of the area’s homeless community and could help bring additional resources to our region.

If you would like to volunteer or would like more information, please get in touch with Eduardo Lizarraga, Pico Rivera Deployment Site Coordinator, by email at elizarraga@pico-rivera.org or by phone at 562.801.4420.
