The City of Pico Rivera will proudly observe Building Safety Month throughout the month of May. This nationwide campaign, sponsored  by the International Code Council Foundation, serves to raise public awareness about the importance of building safety, fire prevention, and resilient construction practices.

Building Safety Month reminds us that our homes and buildings are only as safe as the codes that protect them. The City’s Building Division remains committed to safeguarding the community by diligently enforcing building codes and safety standards. Our mission is to ensure all structures within the City are safe, sustainable, and built to last.

In recognition of Building Safety Month, here are important safety tips shared by our Building Division Inspectors to help you protect your home, business, and loved ones:

» Hire Licensed Professionals for Construction Projects
» Home’s Safety Features

» Have a Workplace Emergency Plan
