The Holiday Season will officially begin in the City of Pico Rivera with the City’s annual Holiday and Tree Lighting Festival on Sunday, December 4 on the grounds of City Hall from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
 
The popular wintry event will include an Elves Workshop for Kids, Elves Body Art Painting, a ride aboard the Santa Express, food, and a Holiday Vendor Fair. Plus, City Hall will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland complete with a FREE snow toss area and snow play area, so be sure to bring your snow boots and mittens.
 
In addition to the snow play area, there will be live entertainment featuring the 8o’s and Spanish Rock band SR80 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., and on the community stage, Grupo Bella from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Headlining the evening will be Mariachi Divas de Cindy Shea on the main stage from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
 
City officials and the community will come together for the official Tree Lighting Ceremony that will take place from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
 
The Holiday Festival and Tree Lighting Ceremony is FREE, there will be minimal fees for the Holiday activities, cash only will be accepted.
 
Please note that Passons Boulevard will be closed between Wampler and Marjorie Streets from 7:00 a.m. to midnight to accommodate the stage and viewing area. Parking will be available at El Rancho High School.
