The past year and a half has been challenging to all, and specifically for our small business community that has grappled with the effects of COVID-19. As the pandemic persisted and public health restrictions took effect, our business community’s strength was visible and our businesses learned to pivot, reinvent their way of doing business, and found creative ways to thrive.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the City is excited to welcome new businesses to the Pico Rivera community. New businesses already operating in town include Maracas Cantina & Catering, Meat Homie, La Carniceria, M Beauty Supply, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. These businesses have recently opened their doors to the public. Additionally, we have businesses that will soon be opening their doors in the coming weeks and already have a well-established presence either online or at other locations including, Everytable, Beacon Building Products, and Deep Indian Kitchen.
From sit-down restaurants with diverse menu and entertainment options to meat markets and butcher shops with quality cuts, the options for residents and our nearby communities are growing. Additionally, with new models including subscription delivery programs serving healthy meals with the mission to make fresh, nutritious food affordable to all communities like that of Everytable’s, Pico Rivera’s local business community is on the rise.
As our “Shop & Dine Pico Rivera” campaign was underway at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the City encouraged residents to support local restaurants and businesses.
