Whittier Narrows Dam Update

In last month’s edition of the Profile, we provided an update on the Whittier Narrows Dam Project. The Project is currently in progress, and the completion year was erroneously stated as 2026. While previous reports have indicated a completion year of 2026, the year of completion has been updated as the project has progressed. As per an update given earlier this year, and through a project progress report presented to the City Council last month, the current completion year for the Whittier Narrows Dam Safety Project is 2031. As more updates become available, we will provide them to our residents online at pico-rivera.org or on the City’s social media platforms.
